Decisions…

It’s coming to the end of summer. There’s a lot I need to make decisions on. Let’s hope it all works out.
So in a couple of hours I’ll be setting off. I’m off to see Death Cab for Cutie at Manchester Apollo. It’s going to be a good night.
I’m still pretty tired from London on Monday, and The Searchers gig from Sunday, but ohh well. It’s nearly summer.
I’ve just got home from doing lighting for The Searchers. It went pretty well overall. I got paid, plus food and drink.
Anyway tomorrow I am off to London for an Art/Graphic Design trip, so I need to get some sleep.
I just checked my logs for this website and I must say I’m quite shocked. I’m getting far more visitors here than what I imagined I would be. This has made me more interested (I couldn’t think of a word) in the website again, and has encouraged me to get in gear with the redesign. Yes, I know I keep saying things like this and then not posting in a while - but those of you that know me personally know it’s all for good reason. Now I’m actually quite excited about doing a redesign and am throwing ideas about on paper and in my head. Hopefully I’ll impress - after all this design has been live for about a year now and it could do with livening up a little. Maybe I’ll do a redesign and launch it on my birthday (September 4th)… and yes, that was a reminder about when my birthday is.
As for work I have had a fair bit on recently, both in the lighting and web design scene. On the lighting front I did a show at my school a couple of weeks ago which went pretty smoothly, and I just did one last weekend for Fridays which hopefully I’ll be getting some pictures off which went really well also. As for web design, I’ve got a job on at the moment, and just finished one which I was subcontracted by Sam Ryan for one of his clients.
I know I haven’t posted in a while, but things have been pretty chaotic for me over these last few months. There are a few shows coming up that I am involved with, doing lighting for, I have also just applied for a job with an AV company which I really hope I get - so we’ll have to see how that ones goes. I’m going to work on a redesign for this website this summer, along with a couple of other projects that should be launching soon. So yeah - things are still moving, slowly.
I went to see Pendulum last night. It was one of the best shows I have been to, they were really ace live. Plus there were quite a lot of girls there wearing not a lot of clothing (it was really hot inside) and there were a lot of people that I knew there. It was just ace.
Anyway, I know I haven’t updated in a long time, but things have been really busy for me - plus I have exams coming up now (I have one tomorrow in fact) - but once they’re over I’ll crack out the redesign and get this baby rolling again. It’s been too long.
Well, as many of you are aware it’s unlikely I’ll be going away on a family holiday this year, but that doesn’t mean I want to spend my holiday in Bradford. My brother is going all over the place this year (Greece, Thailand etc) and I don’t really want to stay here either. So I’m not going to.
Hopefully I’ll have a show (lighting) down in Bath at some point over the summer, so I’ll be down there for at least a couple of days to a week sorting all that out and chilling out with Alex. I fancy going to London as well, so I’m going to do that for a week. And I want to go to the beach… chill out with some good Pear Cider, a camp fire and just have a laugh. I might go to Wales as well, because there’s a few people over there that I’d like to say hi to. This summer’s going to be good.
It’s really nice. So yeah, if you know me and you haven’t got my number yet just ask me over MSN or something.
In other news, I’ll be working on the redesign for this website this week, hopefully get something up and running over these next few weeks ![]()
I’ve just bought myself a new phone. It’s an LG KF600, should be here on Monday. I like the fact it has a touch screen, and yet still has a sliding-out normal keypad as well - as it is pretty hard to type on a touch screen (as experienced on an iPod Touch/iPhone).
